THE PERFECT MIX
Soil & Climate
Moffatdale Ridge has the perfect climate and soil for Verdelho, Semillon, Fiano, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Nero D’Avola and Shiraz grapes, all of which are grown on the estate.
The season begins with pruning in late August in readiness for budburst in early September and the growing season continues until December. Verdelho is the first variety to be picked, over Christmas, followed by the white varieties in early January. The harvest of the reds coming to an end by mid-February.

Moffatdale Ridge wines are refreshingly different: crisp and light whites, soft and delicious reds. We also produce a range of amazingly tasty, fortified wines and liqueurs which can be enjoyed at our cellar door and restaurant as well as purchased online.
We believe wines should be made to be enjoyed by the people on the land where it is grown and display a sense of ‘place’.

Semillon
Our Semillon shows colours of pale straw with green hues. The nose is fresh with zesty citrus, peach and pineapple aromas layered over hints of oak. Crisp citrus, peach and tropical fruit flavours abound on the soft lingering palate. This wine is the perfect partner to a beautiful creamy chicken dish or silky mushroom risotto. Enjoy now or bottle age for 4 or 5 years.
Verdelho
Every region around the world will have a signature variety, one which tells the story of who they are, it should perfectly match their food their culture and their lifestyle and nothing says Queensland like a glass of our Verdelho and a plate of fresh Qld Seafood served on a breezy verandah in the afternoon sun. Moffatdale Ridge Verdelho is a fresh zesty dry white which displays tangy citrus flavours on the front pallet and suttle fruit salad undertones This wine is best enjoyed young.
Late Harvest White
The Late Harvest White is a beautiful fruit driven sweet wine. We achieve the sweetness through a careful process of leaving the fruit to over ripen on the vine to raise the natural sugar levels and then we blend a small portion of early picked fruit to lift acidity ensuring the wine is well balanced and giving us a wine perfect to accompany spicy Asian dishes or for those of us who enjoys the sweeter things in life.

Liqueuers
Roasted Macadamia Liqueur
This is possibly one of the great Australian liqueurs. Gentle infusion of liqueur, spirit and oils extracted from the “Queensland Nut Tree”, deliver a delicate nutty liqueur. Fantastic on its own, an interesting twist to any cocktail or as a great after work tipple combined with milk over ice.
Turkish Delight Liqueur
If you are a lover of Turkish Delight this liqueur tastes just like the real thing. Made in the traditional way with the careful infusion of rose nectar. This liqueur is the base for some amazing cocktails or maybe something as simple as adding it to our Sparkling Rose or even as an amazing dessert, fold through a white chocolate moose and top with a roughly chopped pistachio nut praline , so simple but so impressive.
